I am Paula Kweskin, a filmmaker, human rights lawyer, mother, and wife. I founded and run the women's rights organization, The 49%, and I believe telling women's stories can change the world.
Faith is a value that guides me in life.
I believe there is a Force greater than all of us. When we access something greater than ourselves, we can transcend our everyday lives and have stronger connections with one another.
Truth is a value that challenges me again and again.
Unfortunately, it can be difficult to ascertain truth in today's world of technology and artificial intelligence. We have to be careful of the sources we consider as telling the truth. Studying history can help guide our search for the truth and give us context as we seek nuance and hold multiple narratives at once.
Kindness is a value that our society should live by more.
I believe the world is built on kindness, and it should be emphasized and celebrated more in our society.
