Why Values Matter
In October 2017 the Museum for Values presents an exhibition for the first time in the project space Zönotéka in Berlin Neukölln. During the course of four days, objects and stories that were collected beforehand are shown – and the concept of the value-exhibition is tested out. More than 600 visitors stop by the art centre on Hobrechtstraße. Different groups and actors from the neighborhood come together and get to talking for the first time. The 35 exhibition pieces let them experience values and create space for a dialogue about the personal inner values that don’t usually get discussed in day-to-day life. This is how the Museum for Values‘ permanent exhibition comes into existence. Since then, a continuously growing collection of items and stories travels with us from place to place.
