In our household we share a bathroom. From the beginning the lights – both in the entrance hall and bathroom – were never switched off. In my opinion we could simply switch the lights off after we finished our business to save energy, for the sake of our planet and our bill.
But the lights are still on.
Without a lot of discussion, the situation was ignored by everyone. Numerous efforts with the other residents were of no avail. Respect for the environment is only one switch away. Respecting each other unfortunately is a slightly longer process.
