Museum of Values Pop-ups

Why pop-ups?

Temporary – yet profound. Our pop-up exhibitions bring people together where there is otherwise little connection. They arise in the heart of the city – in vacant shops, old libraries, or cultural centers – and create space for what moves us: shared values. Values are not a goal. They are the beginning of dialogue, participation, and connection.

With the pop-ups, we show that social cohesion can be created – together, locally, and open to everyone.

How does a pop-up work?

A pop-up museum for values is created in three steps.

What is the toolbox?

The toolbox is our value-based toolbox for social infrastructure.

  • Materials for workshops and participatory formats
  • Communication tools (flyers, posters, badges)
  • Design assets for pop-ups
  • A starter kit for the fellows
  • Access to a nationwide network

The toolbox sets values in motion – and turns spaces into places of encounter.

Common Ground Places

A sign against division – and for a society that keeps itself in dialogue.

Common Ground Places: Where a pop-up is created, more than just an exhibition grows – social infrastructure grows. The places where values were publicly negotiated remain visible: Badges on doors, windows, or walls demonstrate that society is being shaped here. Not just temporarily – but sustainably. These places become anchor points for dialogue, participation, and cohesion: They remain open – as meeting points, places for participation, spaces for new ideas. They continue to invite people to contribute, share stories, and listen. Together, they form a growing network for democratic participation.

Who is behind it?

The Museum of Values is a non-profit project that has been creating spaces for social dialogue since 2016. We combine art, education, and social engagement —with the vision of strengthening a society in which differences can remain visible, but no one is excluded.

Our lever is values. Our goal is connection. Our method: listening, telling stories, and co-creating.
