The weather is often really bad at festivals. And that's exactly what happened at Summerjam.
It was pouring with rain. The tents didn't live up to their promise, and no piece of clothing stayed dry.
Huge puddles dominated the floor of the festival grounds and there was no end in sight to the natural shower.
But what the heck:
Rain dances were performed to the beat. Puddles were used as communal bathtubs. The "bad" weather was defied. The mood was exuberant.
For me, the festival wristband represents joy in life and, at the same time, a reminder to make the best of seemingly bad circumstances.
