The beautiful secret

Das schöne Geheimnis

Life can be described as a game or a journey. The description that has always resonated with me, however, is "The Beautiful Mystery."
I think it's fair to assume that life is a mystery. We'll never "figure it out." We can only learn to fall in love with the mystery and simply learn what there is to learn for the rest of our lives. Follow our own innate curiosity!
Life is beautiful!
Saying this may be easy when the sun is shining, you and your family are healthy, and you have no real worries. But you can also develop the ability to "see the beauty in the struggle."
I recently came across a quote by Albert Camus that "we must imagine Sisyphus as a happy man." While there's a lot to unpack there, I believe that seeing beauty even in difficult times is at least part of what Camus meant.
Life will always have ups and downs. These occur in our personal lives, mentally and emotionally. However, they also occur globally. Hegel's omnipresent "World Spirit" also experiences various emotions. He is currently experiencing a moment (which can be considered a brief moment in the entire course of history) that is deeply reflective, sometimes sad, but always full of optimism and hope.
Those of us whom society calls "the sensitive ones" are, in my opinion, very "sensitive" to this world spirit. And the more deeply we can connect with it and understand it (both intellectually and emotionally; mind and body), the more meaning we can give to our lives.
I also believe it's a moral obligation to at least try to raise the sensitivity of others. It may be one of the only ways out of the current "crisis of meaning" we find ourselves in.
Ultimately, living in this "beautiful mystery" means 1) increasing one's capacity to perceive and connect with the beauty in the world, and 2) falling in love with the endless mystery and contributing to it in ways that give one meaning.
This virus is an opportunity for us to rediscover ourselves, amidst the chaos out there.
This brings me to another quote by Albert Camus: "In the depths of winter, I finally realized that within me lies an invincible summer." This time could be considered a global winter, giving us the opportunity to go deep within ourselves and discover the invincible summer we have always carried within us.
