One sunny day, I boarded the train. It was the summer of seven years ago, when the thermometer barely dropped below 32°C. The air inside was stuffy, and of course, there was no air conditioning. In the far corner, I saw an empty seat. A boy sat opposite. He was maybe 8 or 9 years old. Knowing I'd be on the train for at least 20 minutes, I sat down on the empty seat. The plastic seat stuck to my legs, and the train was very crowded, so his mood suddenly took a drastic turn. I saw the boy holding three elephant figurines. He saw my look and told me that elephants were his favorite animals. After more facts about elephants, he stood up and said he had to get off at the next stop. He asked me if I wanted an elephant. I politely thanked him but declined. He should keep it. "But I'd like to give it to you," he said, pressed the blue elephant into my hand, and left the train. This moment instantly lifted my spirits and it turned out to be a pretty nice day!
