Flo gave it to me. He's four years older than me and one of my brother's closest friends, a friend of mine. At 14, I left my hometown of Berlin and moved to Leipzig. It was hard leaving my friends. And yet, I was excited about the adventure of a new city. For my eighteenth birthday, I invited all my friends from both cities to a big party. Almost twenty people traveled from Berlin to Leipzig and, after four years, met my newfound loves.
It was a magical evening, and I was drunk with happiness with so many wonderful people around me. Flo gave me this TV tower as a birthday present, so I wouldn't forget where I actually came from. It was a significant moment for me and the beginning of a true friendship. Emancipated from being a little sister to being a friend on equal terms. Seen as an adult. Recognized as a Berliner. And remembered despite the move.
