In our shared apartment building, we share a bathroom. From the very beginning, the lights in the hallway and bathrooms have never been turned off. I believe that when we're not in the rooms, we can turn them off to save resources and keep electricity consumption to a minimum. My suggestions have fallen on deaf ears. The light stays on. Without further comment, everyone ignores the situation. I find the behavior of the other residents very disrespectful to the landlord, who in our case has to pay for the electricity, to the environment, and also to me. In this case, respect is just a click of a light switch away. The approach and listening to one another is lacking.
