#37 Sybille Perez Rodriguez

When Sybille Perez Rodriguez was young, she needed strong female role models and people who would encourage her to be true to herself. Today, she knows that her emotions, her energy, and her passion for topics, people, and stories are her greatest treasures. She wanted to be a dancer but lacked the courage to pursue it. Now, she encourages others to believe in themselves. She has lived in many countries, held fantastic jobs, and experienced a great deal. She uses all of this to give others her time, encouragement, and hope. This fulfills her and makes her feel rich.

Warmth of heart is a value that guides me in life.

It's always about the heart connection I feel very quickly between another person and myself. A friend taught me the guiding principle and the question: "What would love do?" When I'm stuck, I ask myself this question. So far, I've always received an answer. Most of the time, it's: "Let go."

Trustworthiness is a value that constantly challenges me.

As an abandoned child who experienced uprooting and a feeling of "homelessness" early in life due to my parents' divorce, I've become very cautious. "Whom can I trust?" – I've asked myself this question again and again. Today, I have deep trust in myself above all else. That's my compass. Time and time again!

Solidarity is a value that our society should embrace more.

Animals show us so much – and yet we believe we are the superior species. My children teach me so much every day. My daughter told me that orcas grieve deeply for their babies when they die. One orca mother carried her dead calf gently on her snout through the sea for 17 days because she couldn't bear to part with it. We should stick together more and help each other: humans, animals, and nature. We must cherish this Earth, respect one another, and give each other love.
