Shortly before I went to Australia for four months in 2010, I bought myself new sneakers for the trip – since then, I haven't made a trip without these (now very worn) shoes. They've led me through the jungles of Australia and the Israeli desert. Together, we've explored many major cities around the world, marveled at the rock city of Petra in Jordan, and enjoyed the tranquility along the Mekong River between Thailand and Cambodia. For me, traveling means freedom and joie de vivre – these days, I can't imagine an adventure without my favorite blue sneakers, and whenever I find them in my closet, I think back to all the exciting experiences we shared together.
