About two years ago, my mother was thrown in front of a moving car by a passerby. She had open wounds, pain, and a shock that will affect her for the rest of her life. It was a nightmare for my siblings and me. They were scared and afraid that she wasn't alive. It's a real shame that people are capable of being so cruel. We should stick together instead of turning against each other. Our lives are far too short to worry about cruelty.
For me, solidarity means being there for one another, supporting others even in difficult times, and standing up for a common cause. That's why I chose the butterfly as my symbol.
A butterfly has a very short lifespan and enjoys its existence without knowing how cruel our world can be, yet how beautiful it is. It's consistent with our human perspective to consider the butterfly's lifespan as the "most beautiful" of a butterfly's life. We should also see it this way: that our lifespan, no matter our age, is the most beautiful.
