In 1995, a supervisory board meeting was once again scheduled to address job cuts at SKET. The supervisory board members representing the employers' side coordinated their position in the administration building. As they walked to the cafeteria where the supervisory board meeting was to take place, workers formed a chain on either side of the path, holding wooden crosses made from roof battens. Several wooden crosses were lying in the path, forcing the supervisory board members to step over them. It was a kind of gauntlet: a wooden cross for every job eliminated! But even this job loss didn't lead to profitability for SKET. In April 1996, SKET went bankrupt.
