The photo shows the record I listened to frequently as a young kid. With my brother Eff and my best friend, your father. I must have been around 13-14 years old. We listened to many other blues records together and discovered the universe of authentic blues music. And through him, we heard Brit rock with different ears, as well as, of course, jazz, which was born directly out of the blues. Brit rock (Stones, Beatles, Cream, etc.) has two "fathers": Alexis Corner and John Mayall, who influenced and even trained many white British musicians with the blues.
My passion for music, which began with the blues, has accompanied me throughout my life, although my curiosity has also extended to many other musical genres. This includes classical music, which has inspired quite a few jazz musicians, such as Duke Ellington and one of my favorites, Miles Davis.
