I used to ask myself what I wanted, who I wanted to be, until I was at a festival and saw the fire department. That's when I knew. I wanted to help others. When I was old enough, I joined the youth fire department. And I immediately enjoyed it. After six years, the fire department also led me down other paths. Like the church and my first aid certificate with the Johanniter. Because it confirmed what I thought: that I wanted to help others, either as a volunteer or professionally.
