I chose to photograph my artist aprons because they hold deep meaning for me and reflect how art influences my life. But I don't want this photo to focus solely on the art. Rather, it's about honoring the person who supports the joy in my life by giving me these aprons in the first place. My mother is one of my greatest supporters. When I see the aprons, I'm reminded of how my dream of becoming an artist began as a child. It took years to convince her how serious I was about my art. I feel that by giving me the aprons, she was taking a step toward supporting me in my endeavors and joy of life.
