Basic trust

Urvertrauen

Anyone who still wears a wristwatch today probably does so out of conviction or perhaps out of habit. In our modern society, the good old wristwatch sometimes seems somewhat outdated, backward, even almost obsolete: it has long since ceased to be truly needed to tell the time. In the age of mobile phones, the internet, and smartwatches, time is transmitted to us digitally, quickly, and at a glance.
But the values that a wristwatch embodies are still relevant today: reliability, trust, and credibility play a key role in a good and successful relationship.
Wristwatches are often passed down from generation to generation. They are personal heirlooms that distinguish themselves from mass-produced items and are therefore authentic.
If your cell phone breaks, you'll probably be looking for a replacement in no time. Some people buy a new device every year. My watch, on the other hand, has been with me for years. It's been through several repairs at the watchmaker and has also sustained a few scratches that tell our shared story. Even after all this time, I can always rely on it. While my taste and style have changed several times over the years, my watch has outlasted these trends. It's devoid of frills, remaining elegant and authentic: for me, it is and remains authentic.
