Madeleine Haacke shares her perspective with us – she 's a trained cultural project manager with a persistent love of creativity. Raised in a noisy family, she now brings color and openness to projects that connect people – and always a touch of joie de vivre.
A value that guides you in life:
"Joie de vivre. I have the basic attitude that life is good. The value of joie de vivre determines how I approach people—open, optimistic, approachable—and how I want to be approached. It determines how I want to view problems and difficult times—as challenges that move me forward and allow me to grow as a person. It influences the small moments in everyday life—perceiving them, enjoying them, absorbing them—and the big moments that make me the person I am and enable me to feel joy in this earthly 'existence'."
A value that challenges you again and again:
"Patience. Sometimes I want too much, too fast, too simultaneously. Then I can't stand the tediousness and stop pursuing something I actually want."
A value that we as a society should live more:
"Humor. I feel like our society has somewhat forgotten how to look at moments with a certain lightness and forgive mistakes. So much is in flux and change right now – everyone is allowed to slip up and get back up again. Humor helps us to be gracious – with others and with ourselves."
