Thought on Values: Benjamin Breitkopf

Listening, attention

What values are reflected in your work and why, dear Benjamin?

"As a photographer and filmmaker, I've mostly seen myself as an observer and collector of moments. That's also how I learn best: by listening and watching. Attentiveness and room for interpretation lead directly to ideas. Today, I can generate images through words. My working world has changed. I continue collecting and allow myself to be surprised. In the images of the "new generation," I see a certain restful solitude that I like. A leaning into nothingness, a waiting. That pleases the optimist in me."
