What values are reflected in your work and why, Sibylle?
A thematic framework for the work danseuse piègée was provided: "Art Defies Exclusion," a traveling exhibition organized by Diakonie Deutschland from 2018 to 2024 with a total of 60 participating artists, has already been shown in many cities. I am convinced that the freedom of poetry transcends and prevails even through bars. The immaterial, the ideal, and above all, the power of beauty itself are often stronger than walls or cages. In other words: the freedom of beautiful confidence is timeless and placeless and bestows "the secret power to make one pleasing to God and man" (Nathan the Wise, Lessing, 1779).
